Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebrates Completion of San Leon Apartments

Lakeview Oak celebrated the completion of the San Leon, the new three-story mixed-use development in historic downtown Sanford, with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 19 for approximately 50 guests.

This is the first new residential build in Sanford's downtown core in 50+ years.

The San Leon features 10 one-bedroom units on three floors and as well as ground floor retail space, which is leased to Foxtail Coffee. The apartments are move-in ready and available for lease. Foxtail will begin the build out of their space soon.

The event featured the following speakers:

• Dan Matthews, Principal of Lakeview Oak Development
• Art Woodruff, Mayor of Sanford
• Charles Davis, Chairman of the Sanford Community Redevelopment Agency
• Nicolet Severe, President of the Sanford Chamber of Commerce

"At Lakeview Oak, we are excited and proud to mark the completion of the San Leon," explained Matthews. "We believe more and more that people want to live and work in high quality residences in walkable downtowns."

The San Leon event included tours of the apartments and the opportunity to watch mural artists completing an 18x18 foot permanent mural on an exterior wall.
